We'd love to tell you, "Welcome to our family cabin!" but we don't feel like The Blue Door belongs to us at all - we are simply its keepers; stewards of the space for all who pass through.
We know as you stay and play, your memories will live here too and that, in addition to the magic of the Smoky Mountains,
is our greatest joy!
(Here we are pictured at Cliff Top at sunrise - we also think Cliff Top offers the best sunset you will ever see in your life #wepromise)
Eight minutes from The Blue Door, and right outside the Smoky Mountains entrance, lies the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.
This museum preserves history and offers year-round events, concerts, and educational programs.
To learn more about the region, or for fun events while you stay (including guided hikes!),
we always recommend
The Heritage Center.

Bear sightings are fun!
They are also scary for some people.
