The Blue Door Cabin is a pet-free facility. We love all the animals! But you will need to make alternative arrangements for their care. We personally recommend Rover.com ... depending on how you arrive, there are boarding facilities or families en route to The Blue Door Cabin who would be delighted to love on your pet.

The Blue Door Cabin is a smoke-free facility - including vaping. Thank you for helping us preserve our cabin by not smoking - including outside on the porches.

Absolutely! (If we have no other bookings immediately following) - We just need 24 hrs notice to edit logistics. The Smoky Mountains are so magical - and we have wifi - if you don't want to go home, we're happy to host you. You can work from the cabin and then go for a hike - we fully support that venture. 

For the health & safety of our guests, we do not keep a crib or pack and play on site but the private bedroom on the first floor is large enough to fit one if you happen to bring one with you. (It's also tucked behind the family room for really quiet nap times)

The cabin is 29 minutes from McGhee Tyson Airport.

While you are at the cabin you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. However, the cabin is only 22 minutes from Blount Memorial Hospital. (We hope you never need this info ... but just in case! ) [You can read here how Elena came too close to a rattlesnake once while in the Smokies!]
