Cades Cove is an 11-mile loop that is one of the most popular destinations in the Great Smokies.
Because of it's seclusion (it's a verdant valley), it offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing in the park.

Tuckaleechee Caverns is the highest rating Cave, or Cavern, of the Eastern United States. Carved inside the earth’s oldest mountain chain and estimated to be between twenty to thirty million years old, the Caverns are rich in history and lore in recent years as well.

Tuckaleechee Caverns is the highest rating Cave, or Cavern, of the Eastern United States. Carved inside the earth’s oldest mountain chain and estimated to be between twenty to thirty million years old, the Caverns are rich in history and lore in recent years as well.
There is the “Big Room” on one end of the tour and “Silver Falls” on the other. Silver Falls falls 210 feet from top to bottom and is the tallest subterranean waterfall in the Eastern US.

Cycling enthusiasts love Townsend and The Blue Door Cabin.
Not only are their miles upon miles of trails to bike, but The Blue Door offers enough porch space that you can store your personal bike, covered and secured, when not in use.
Biking through Cades Cove is popular ... if you want to bike direct from The Blue Door Cabin too, we recomm

Fishing is a relaxing activity that you can do all year round in Townsend.
In the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you can fish 365 days per year too - with plenty of great spots to catch: ttrout (rainbow, brown, and brook) as well as bass and other fish.
